MARKETS SERVED BY J&R UNDERGROUND

J&R Underground serves many different industries, from electric and gas to telecom, fiber, cable, and vacuum excavation.

ELECTRIC & GAS INSTALLATION

J&R specializes in installing new underground gas lines and electric cable as well as rebuilding existing underground lines. We work for public utilities, municipal utilities, electric co-operatives, and electrical contractors as well as private businesses and residential customers.

TELECOM, FIBER SPLICING, & CABLE TV

J&R Underground does boring, plowing, and trenching to install communication lines including fiber and co-ax. We also provide fiber splicing, co-ax splicing, and aerial telecom services.

VACUUM EXCAVATION

Vacuum Excavation is a process that utilizes water pressure and suction to excavate soil. This process reduces digging by hand for exposing buried utilities. In turn, this reduces cost, limits damage to utility lines, and reduces dangerous situations. Our well-equipped and professional crews use Vacuum Trucks and smaller vacuums that are less invasive than digging to remove the spoil from the work area. We do vacuum excavation for public utilities and municipalities, as well as private businesses and residential customers.

A partial list of vacuum services we provide:

  • Quick emergency response time
  • Non-destructive excavation
  • Exposing/locating of existing underground utilities
  • Holes for utility poles
  • Storm sewer inlet clean-out
  • Assist in repairing water main breaks

THE MISSION OF J&R

To proactively serve and satisfy our customers by improving the cost effectiveness and quality of our products and services by building a team of honest people who will develop and maintain a quality- and service-oriented attitude that leads the industry and creates a sustainable competitive advantage for J&R Underground.

When a second crew showed up, there weren’t two crews working: instead they merged together as ONE.

J&R has great leaders on your crews and a team-like atmosphere I really don’t see much of anymore. I can see the reflection of how you and Robin treat your workers flows over to how they treat each other and us, the clients. Thanks again for the help with this project!
